Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) on Friday organized a Peace Walk in Wana, Lower Waziristan for peace in the Waziristan region.
JUI-F Wana President Maulana Mirza Jan, General Secretary Maulana Rafiuddin Wazir, and others presented a joint resolution while addressing the protest demonstration.
Speaking on the occasion, speakers including Maulana Mirza Jan and Maulana Rafiuddin demanded the establishment of a peaceful government in the entire merged districts, especially in Lower Waziristan, through the mediation of mass public power.
JUI-F leaders said, one of the main problems of the Waziristan region is the issue of drugs, therefore all drugs should be completely banned in Waziristan.
They added, the notification of the division of South Waziristan into two districts i.e Lower South Waziristan and Upper South Waziristan should be implemented and all line department offices should be shifted to Lower Waziristan as soon as possible.
The speakers demanded that the two national seats of South Waziristan should be maintained and the provincial seats should be increased.
“All facilities for trade and traffic should be provided at Pak-Afghan Border, Angoor Adda and Gomal Zam Road should be reconstructed immediately”, they demanded.
Maulana Mirza Jan said the government should make the public educational institutions and health centers of Lower Waziristan fully operational and restore our quota in the educational institutions of the country.
Speakers also demand the acquittal of the elected MNA of Lower South Waziristan, Ali Wazir.
On the other hand, the JUI-F leaders also strongly condemned the abduction of Tariq Kreykhel and Jamshed Kaka Khel and also demanded the higher authorities take concrete steps for the release of these two abductees.
