 IGP seeks report as mother kills three children in Jhelum

 

IGP orders DHO Jhelum to investigate all aspects of the incident and meet the requirements of justice

Inspector-General of Police Punjab Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice of the tragic incident of killing three children by a mother at Pind Dadan Khan and has sought a report of the incident from RPO Rawalpindi.

According to details, Jhelum police took immediate action and arrested the woman. IG Punjab has directed DHO Jhelum to investigate all aspects of the incident and meet the requirements of justice.

Punjab Police crackdown on New Year’s Eve / Hundreds of law-breakers arrested. Crackdown on law violators continued on New Year night across the province, and legal action is being taken against hundreds of violators in all districts. Spokesperson of  Punjab Police said that  Punjab Police continued its indiscriminate operations on aerial firing, one wheeling, drinking and use of volatile substances on New Year Night and 416 cases were registered against violators of law on New Year Night across the province, and 553 persons were arrested.

The spokesperson of  Punjab Police said that 109 cases of one wheeling were registered across Punjab and 141 persons were arrested, 143 cases of aerial firing were registered, and 159 persons were arrested.  Similarly, 52 cases were reported, and 86 people were arrested for setting off fireworks across the province, while 112 cases were registered and 167 people were arrested for using drugs and alcohol in Punjab. While talking about actions taken in Lahore,  cases were reported against 61 persons for doing one wheeling, and  73 accused were arrested.  A total of 44 people were arrested in 30 cases of fireworks, 46 cases of alcohol and drug use were registered, and 49 people were arrested.

Punjab Police spokes told that during the previous 12 hours in Lahore, 106 cases were reported against aerial firing and 110 accused were arrested.  According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, police officers and personnel from all over Punjab, including Lahore, were on duty on the highways throughout the night while additional personnel were deployed for smooth traffic flow and protection of families.  He further said that maintaining a peaceful atmosphere and security of life and property of the people is the primary responsibility of Punjab Police. All possible steps will be taken in the future also.
