Ombudsperson had cleared the 150 applications of women property since last 6 months
Ombudsperson Punjab Nabila Hakim Ali Khan has said that Ombudsperson had cleared the 150 applications of women property since last 6 month and Ombudsperson is active to give rights to women in inheritance property. She was listening the applicants at court room of Commissioner Office. In-charge Properties Branch Hafiz Farooq Anwar and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Tariq Mehmood Gondal were also present. Ombudsperson said that steps are being taken to resolve the issues of women regarding inheritance. Talking to media persons, the Ombudsperson of Punjab said that in our society women are given the property rights of their inheritance but they are not given possession of property due to which they were forced to go round the offices. She said that with the implementation of Punjab Enforcement of Women’s Property Rights Act, the cases are now being resolved expeditiously.
The provincial Ombudspersin also issued orders to the concerned officers to resolve the grievances.
Punjab Ombudsperson Nabila Hakim Ali Khan presided over an awareness seminar on women’s property rights and Women protection act and said that providing a conducive environment in the workplace to women was utmost necessary. Chairman Standing Committee Faiz Ullah Kamooka, ADCG Qaiser Abbas Rind, in-charge control room Mohammad Sadiq and women serving in various public and private sectors were also present. The MNA appreciated the organization of the seminar and said that immediate solution to the problems faced by women in harassment and acquisition of property and giving them justice is the priority of the present government. Other speakers also addressed the seminar.
