PM Shehbaz reunites with son Suleman after 4 years
After four years, the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Suleman Shehbaz reunited late on Saturday night.
The prime minister welcomed his son’s much-anticipated coming home by embracing him and surrounding him with a bouquet of flowers.
After spending the previous four years in self-imposed exile, Suleman returned to Pakistan after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted protective bail to the premier’s son till December 13.
In October 2018, he travelled abroad, and as a result, a case of alleged money laundering was brought against him. After then, Suleman continued his self-imposed exile in the UK.
Suleman Shehbaz’s detention is prohibited by the IHC once he arrives in Pakistan.
On December 8, he requested to come home and appear before the court to end his exile. He did this by contacting the IHC through his attorney.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other organisations were prohibited from arresting him until December 13 as a result of the court’s approval of his motion.
