UNGA adopts Pakistan’s four resolutions

Pakistan’s four annual resolutions on disarmament, which improve both domestic and global peace and security, were adopted by the UNGA on Wednesday, demonstrating Islamabad’s dedication to achieving these objectives.

The First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) of the 193-member Assembly recommended the resolutions, which were overwhelmingly approved by the committee’s members.

Three of these resolutions address regional disarmament, regional and sub-regional conventional weapons control, and regional and sub-regional confidence-building measures (CBMs).

The fourth Pakistani resolution demanded guarantees of global security for nations without nuclear weapons.
