KARACHI: The price of gold in the domestic market increased by Rs200 per tola on Saturday.
According to all Pakistan Jewelers Manufacturers Association Chairman Muhammad Arshad, the prices of per tola of the precious commodity jumped to Rs126,200 per tola after the hike.
In the local market, the price of 10 grammes of gold increased by Rs171 to Rs108,196.
International market
In weak trading, spot gold climbed 0.1 percent to $1,817.57 per ounce, lingering near a one-month high. Gold futures in the United States climbed 0.3 percent to $1,818.90.
Spot silver increased by 0.3 percent to $23.11 per ounce, while platinum increased by 0.2 percent to $962.90 and palladium decreased by 1.1 percent to $1,9444.32.
Silver was on course to have its worst year since 2014, with a drop of about 12%. Platinum was down more than 9%, and palladium was on track to have its worst year since 2015, with a decrease of more than 20%.
