KARACHI: Supreme Court accepts Murtaza Wahab’s apology. After ordering Murtaza Wahab’s dismissal from his position as Karachi Administrator, the Supreme Court (SC) accepted his unconditional apology on Monday.
“I apologize to the court,” Murtaza Wahab said before the SC bench. Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin, a member of the bench remarked “We have removed you,” and added that the post of administrator demands impartiality.
During the hearing, the advocate general of Sindh asked the SC bench to accept Murtaza Wahab’s unreserved repentance and assurance that he would not participate in political activities in the future.
Later, while accepting Wahab’s apology, CJP Justice Gulzar Ahmed directed him to stay out of politics while serving as an administrator.

The Supreme Court had previously ordered Wahab to be removed as Administrator Karachi for violating the court’s decorum, and the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) ordered him to leave the court immediately during the hearing of the Gutter Bagheja land allotment case.
While ordering Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to appoint a new Administrator for Karachi, the Supreme Court stated that Murtaza Wahab is acting more like a politician than an administrator.
Murtaza Wahab is a Pakistani politician who is the current Adviser to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Rules and regulations. He was a member of the Senate of Pakistan from August 2017 to March 2018.
