Price of petroleum to remain unchanged, says Finance Minister.

Ishaq Dar declared that the price of petroleum items would remain unchanged for the ensuing 15 days. According to a decision made by the federal government, Dar stated that the prices of gasoline, diesel, light diesel, and kerosene oil will not change through November 30.

Petrol costs Rs224.80 a litre at the moment, high-speed diesel (HSD) costs Rs235.30, light diesel costs Rs186.50, and kerosene costs Rs191.83. Dar stated that the government is dropping its cases from the Federal Shariat Court (FSC) following the ruling in the Riba (interest) case.

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) have decided to renounce their requests for the reinstatement of the interest-based financial system. The SBP and NBP submitted requests to remove their claims, the finance minister continued.

The federal government made the decision to maintain the same price for petroleum products on October 31.
