Speaking Truth to Oppressed

Elon Musk issues an apology linked to Twitter. Here’s why

Twitter’s new CEO, Elon Musk, apologized on Sunday for the microblogging site being “very sluggish” in numerous countries. His apologies came just minutes after he declared, “Twitter feels increasingly alive.”

“In addition, I’d like to apologize for Twitter being extremely slow in many regions. The app performs over 1000 badly batched RPCs only to render a home timeline, ” Musk stated in a tweet.

He also promised a forthcoming feature after the firm was forced to stop its $8 Twitter Blue programme due to the proliferation of bogus accounts with the verified blue tick.

“Twitter will soon enable corporations to determine which other Twitter accounts are genuinely affiliated with them,” he stated in another tweet.

Previously, the blue tick was only reserved for verified accounts of renowned people, politicians, journalists, and public figures. However, Twitter launched a membership scheme last week that allows anyone to get it for $8 per month.

This posed a significant challenge for the corporation since some people impersonated prominent brands on the web. The programme was halted last Friday, but Musk claims it will resume by the “end of next week.”

Twitter also added an “Official” badge for chosen accounts, but it quickly disappeared.
