When it comes to a crucial game, Indian team loses its composure, Kapil Dev
The heartbreaking loss of India in the T20 World Cup semifinal is being mourned throughout India.
Former Indian cricket players referred to this loss as historic and condemned the players’ subpar performances for it.
In a media interview, India’s former captain Kapil Dev added that, as is customary, India loses its composure during crucial games, which forces it to lose.
He claimed that although India had performed admirably in the group rounds of prior competitions, calling them chokers would not be inaccurate because the players were constantly under pressure.
It should be recalled that Indian captain Rohit Sharma also stated during the post-game press conference that the players’ subpar play was the cause of the team’s loss.
In this regard, the humiliating loss in the semi-final is being criticized by all Indian cricket players.
Legendary Pakistani cricketer Waseem Akram asserted that the IPL is to blame for India’s bowling woes. The Indian Premier League (IPL), the best franchise league in the world, debuted in 2008. Legendary Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram claims that he has been intrigued by India’s failure to win the Twenty T20 World Cup.
Wasim also stated, in response to India’s humiliating 10-wicket loss to England in the semi-final on Thursday, that the IPL is to blame for the country’s bowling problems. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales, the devastating English opening pair, left the Indian bowlers defenseless on Thursday in Adelaide.
“It’s not like fast bowlers with quick bowling speeds are lacking in India. Avesh Khan and Umran Malik, two of their young pace bowlers, are quite promising. Their average top speed when bowling is 145 kph. However, after one season of competition in the IPL, the bulk of their young fast bowlers lose their pace,” Wasim stated during a panel discussion on ASports.
