Imran Khan should blame CM Punjab over Wazirabad attack, Faisal Kundi says
Imran Khan should demand action against Chief Minister Punjab and Punjab Police instead of againts PM Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and state institutions because the gun attack took place in Punjab where PTI is in power, Faisal Karim Khan Kundi said.
Addresaing a press conference at “Kundi Model Farm”, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Central Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party Faisal Karim Khan Kundi has said, in 2007, when there was a suicide attack on the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in Karachi, the statement made by Imran Khan at that time is on record.
He said, Imran Khan claims that PTI has provided the best health facilities to the people in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but when the Wazirabad gun attack happened, why did he run to Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore instead of the local hospital?
“Will common citizens also get such facilities and protocol in a cancer hospital, he questioned?
Mr. Kundi said, Imran Khan should hand over his evidence to the judicial commission after the announcement of a judicial inquiry into the Wazirabad firing incident by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
On a question about Senator Azam Swati regarding the video leak, Mr. Kundi said, the FIA has declared the video fake and edited after the forensic report, so now the debate should be ended.
Mr. Kundi further added, in order to expand the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), a new survey will be started across the country at the end of this month or next month, regarding which an agreement has been reached with NADRA.
“The BISP cards of 0.8 million (8 lakh) beneficiaries were blocked during the PTI era, but the current government has restored about 40,000 to 45,000 blocked cards so far, while work is in progress for others whom cards were not restored yet.
Faisal Karim Khan Kundi said, 70 billion rupees were allocated through the Benazir Income Support Program for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the recent flood disasters, of which 59 billion rupees have been spent so far.

In the same way, the program is also being started to provide health facilities to pregnant women and so far in the field of education, 1 lakh students have been given educational scholarships across the country.
On the question of establishing a separate circle of WAPDA PESCO in Dera Ismail Khan, Faisal Karim Khan Kundi said, after the formation of the PESCO board of directors, the WAPDA team has also discussed about a separate circle and due to having three divisions in Dera Ismail Khan, Dera Ismail Khan will soon get the status of a separate circle.
He said, offices of Press Information Department (PID), Pakistan Television (PTV), Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and PIA sales offices have been restored in Dera Ismail Khan while the zonal office of National Bank will also be brought back soon.
He added, Dera Ismail Khan airport will made operational as an International Airport soon.
