D I Khan: 3 killed, 25 injured in road mishap
3 persons including a father and son and a woman were killed while 25 others were injured a traffic mishap on D I Khan-Tank Road in Garah Hayat area, within the vicinty of Saddar Police Station, here on Tuesday.
Rescue 1122 Media Coordinator Aizaz Mehmood said, a Shahzor Mazda Truck and a motor car xollided with each other in Garah Hayat area on D I Khan-Tank Road, within the limits of Saddar Police Station.
As a result of collision, 3 people died while 25 others were injured at the spot.
The deceased were identified as Maulana Sher Afzal Bhettanni, 59, 7-year-old son namely Younas Bhettani son of Maulana Sher Afzal Bhettanni and Shadina Bibi, 17, daughter of Saad Ullah Bhettanni, hailing from Umar Adda, Tank, currently residing at Qureshi Morr, D I Khan
The drivers of both vehicles, and passengers of Mazda Truck namely Jumma Khan, Gul Zaman, Nadeem, Mehboob, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Ramzan, Ismail, Hasan, Allah Bakhsh, Ishaq, Najam Gul, Meharban, Nauman, Naveed, residents of Kot Isa Khan and passengers of motor car 11-year-old Umair Bhettanni son of Maulana Sher Afzal, 13-year-old Saira Bano, daughter of Maulana Sher Afzal and others injured in the mishap.
As soon as the accident was reported, the medical teams of the local police rescue 1122 reached the accident site and after providing first aid, the injured were transferred to the Fistrict Headquarters Hospital, D I Khan, the condition of many of the injured is said to be critical.

The passengers of motor car were travelling to Tank for a wedding ceremony.
The persons in the Mazda truck are said to be local laborers who were coming to Dera Ismail Khan for work.
The accident is said to be so severe that both the vehicles were completely destroyed.
