National Financial Literacy Gala,2022 organized by ORIC, UoM in collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan & National Institute of Banking & Finance(NIBAF) at the University of Malakand on 27th October 2022.
The University of Malakand in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan organized a financial literacy gala for youth at UoM to equip the students with financial literacy and how to manage their money and financial matters.
The representatives from the state bank of Pakistan give details briefings on the initiatives of SBP like pompak game_a financial literacy game for youth and the Virtual ambassador program of SBP. Huge participants attended the gala and witness the event. It was a pleasure for me to attend the gala and learned a lot. The VC UoM Prof Dr. Rashid Ahmad & Dr. Mohammad Usman, Director ORIC, UoM welcomed all the delegates & pledged that the national financial literacy gala will be very helpful to enhance financial management & entrepreneurship skills of youth for the socioeconomic development of Pakistan.
Different stalls of commercial banks were there to facilitate the students and educate them about bank accounts and financial management.
The VC UoM Prof Dr. Rashid Ahmad, Dr. Mohammad Usman, Director ORIC, UoM Mr. Maqsood Mazhar, Manager ORIC Dr. Arshad Ali, Chairperson, Department of Commerce & Management Sciences, UoM Faculty Members and Students of various Teaching Departments, Officials of State Bank of Pakistan, NIBAF & Representatives of different Commercial Banks graced the event.
Representatives from various Commercial Banks including Habib Bank Limited, Allied Bank Limited, Bank of Khyber, Mobilink Jazz & UBank attended the event.
It was a great experience to learn that the state bank of Pakistan is launching such an amazing initiative for youth to equip them with today’s digital world and educate them on financing.
