Two suicide bombers killed in attack on Peace Committee Office
Two alleged suicide bombers killed in an exchange of fire between the Crime Terrorism Department (CTD) and suicide bombers at the office of Chief of Peace Comittee Noor Alam Mehsud near D I Khan-Bannu Road, within the vicinity of Saddar Police Station, police said on Tuesday.
A Police Official said, the two alleged suicide bombers wearing explosive jackets came on a ‘Qingqi Rickshaw’ and tried to attack the office of Peace Committee head Noor Alam Mehsud here in Irfan Colony near Nizam Petrol pump on Bannu road.
Spokesman for district police Imtiaz Baloch, while talking to *The Asian Mirror*, informed that the police had already received secret information about the attack. The police along with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) traced the attackers and killed both of them during exchange of fire, he added. The police also recovered 2 Kalashnikovs, 2 SMGs, 7 magazines, 7 hand grenades and 70 cartridges.
He added, at the time of the incident Chief of Peace Committee Commander Noor Alam Mehsud and his nephew Siraj Mehsud, son of Haji Banut were also present.

The identity of the attackers was not ascertained yet while the samples of their bodies were being sent to NADRA for the identity. The Dera police, CTD and security forces were investigating the matter under the leadership of DPO and SP CTD.
