Protestors dumped cake on King Charles waxwork at Madame Tussauds
Chocolate cake has been dumped over the King Charles waxwork at Madame Tussauds by Just Stop Oil protesters. Two fans spread the sweet treat throughout the London waxworks.
It happens the day after German protesters covered a £96 million Monet painting with mashed potatoes. The protesters are captured on camera smearing cake on the models while donning white t-shirts.
Before damaging the King and Princess of Wales, the radicals allegedly purchased tickets to the tourist destination. The two individuals, identified by Just Stop Oil as Glasgow native Eilidh McFadden, 20, and Sunderland painter/decorator Tom Johnson, 29, said: “The science is plain.”
Twenty activists, including McFadden, blocked the entrance to the Nustar Clydebank oil facility outside of Glasgow in May. Police eventually had to remove them by force.
It is unknown if the protesters have inflicted any damage on the waxworks, which are said to have cost around £200k to construct.
Four persons have reportedly been detained by police for causing criminal damage. The two protesters who last week blocked the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge in Dartford are the latest in a line of activists’ nationwide acts.
After scaling the enormous bridge, Marcus Carambola, 33, and Morgan Trowland, 39, stepped into hammocks dangling about 275 feet above the bridge. Just Stop Oil (JSO) protesters earlier this year dumped soup over a famous Vincent Van Gogh artwork that was displayed in the National Gallery.

In their most recent act of environmental protest, the activists entered the prominent London gallery on October 14 and threw a large amount of food at the famed “Sunflowers” painting by a Dutch artist before sticking themselves to the wall.
One of the demonstrators addressed the assembled crowd, “What is worth more, art or life?,” after throwing the soup at the picture. Is it more valuable than food?
