LAHORE: According to the local news media, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has finished the calibration process of Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport’s secondary runway.
After flights had trouble landing and taking off due to foggy weather, PCAA experts completed the calibration procedure of Lahore airport’s secondary runway.
According to the report, officials from the PCAA checked the instrument landing system (INS), radio navigation, and then declared the secondary runway safe for the aircraft.
The PCAA officials also declared the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) and Doppler Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range DME System installed on the secondary runway to be safe.
According to sources, the PAPI system will be closed from 1:15 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. today.
