Ms. Naz said that a process of profiling of the tribal female lawyers was also started to remove the misconception that women in merged districts were not allowed to work or go out of their home districts.

She said that most of the tribal women were still ignorant about their rights, especially their right to inheritance. She added that young tribal lawyers were assigned the additional responsibility of creating awareness among the local womenfolk about their legal and constitutional rights.

Advocate Hamna Ikram, the president of Women Lawyers Forum of Newly Merged Districts, said that the forum would make all-out efforts to ensure rights to inheritance and increase access of women and girls of tribal districts to legal services.

She also stressed the need for establishing fully furnished barrooms for women lawyers in all the newly merged districts.
