Dolphin team shoots citizen in Lahore

According to the report, members of a Dolphin team were suspended after a citizen was shot and critically injured in Lahore on Saturday morning.

The Dolphin squad received a message on 15 regarding a fight in the Township Market area, according to police. When the squad arrived on the scene, citizen Bakhat Khan, who had been part in the altercation, attempted to flee when he saw the Dolphin jawans.

According to a witness, the Dolphin staff shot Bakhat Khan on suspicion, and he was rushed to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition.

After performing a preliminary investigation into the shooting incident, DIG Operations Dr Muhammad Abid Khan suspended the Dolphin.

Constables Faisal, Khalid Moazzam, and Adil have been suspended, according to a spokeswoman for the Operations Wing. Constable Faisal has been charged with attempted murder under articles 324 and 55c of the Criminal Procedure Code.

When it comes to taking action against the Dolphins, DIG Abid Khan stated that justice and merit will be followed.
