  1. Extremely overpriced

Between the high class/elites and the lower middle class, there is discrimination. It is the idea of “to have or not have.” If you are wealthy enough to pay the cost, you can enroll, but if you are from the middle class or lower middle class, it will be very difficult for you to afford their students’ unbelievably high tuition. Only the elite and those from higher social classes are aware with LUMS.

2. Scholarship scams are common

It’s true, even though many people might not be aware of it. Only two people out of ten will receive scholarships from the institute: no more. They won’t approve financial aid even if 600 individuals apply for it.

3. Life at LUMS is dull

Yes, it is upsetting to learn this, but it is real. While many LUMS students brag about how much fun they have at school, many LUMS students find campus life to be boring and isolating. Many people assert that everyone presents as someone they are not and that many students are constantly experiencing existential crises.

4. Low quality of education

LUMS was previously renowned for providing education of the top quality, but times have changed.

It served as a place of learning where students who were denied admission to top international colleges were still treated fairly in terms of education. It is preferable to attend the Institute of Business Administration Karachi as compared to LUMS because you would pay half as much and receive a better education there. Academic quality and concern for the needs of the students are nonexistent at LUMS.

5. Terrible hierarchical structure

This institute has a terrible hierarchy system that many students hate. The top of this hierarchy is the dean’s honor list, and those students are regarded very differently from the other students. They are only regarded as students by the university’s authority since they are on the honor roll. This honor roll is tainted by students who are merely there to get along with the professors or teaching assistants; they celebrate birthdays with them, spend hours in their offices, and engage in conversation unrelated to their academics.

The campus’ musicians or athletes, whom the other students recognize as the most popular ones, maintain the hierarchy systems. These individuals exclude the societies and ensure that no one from the general populace is given the opportunity to join these societies or their groups.

6. Abrupt cultural change

LUMS is no longer what it was throughout those early years. Many of the local students are aware of the rapid cultural change. In comparison to other colleges, the students feel that there aren’t as many facilities here. Many believe that LUMS has lost its true culture and has become a little town filled with inexperienced individuals.
