Tank: Typhoid prevention campaign starts from October 3 in city
The typhoid prevention campaign will start from October 3 and will continue till October 15 in Two Union Councils of Tank City including City One and City Two.
During the vaccination campaign, 22615 children aged between 9 months to 15 years will be vaccinated against typhoid.
During the typhoid prevention campaign, 42 social mobilizers will go door to door to spread awareness about typhoid prevention while 25 officials will be charged for vaccination against typhoid.
Talking to the media, EPI Coordinator Dr. Tufail Sherani said Typhoid is a dangerous and deadly disease and people must vaccinate children aged between 9 months to 15 years to prevent typhoid.
He said that typhoid is caused by contaminated food and contaminated water and is a dangerous disease and can be fatal.

During this campaign, polio drops will also be administered to children up to five years of age.
