Russia signs agreement to integrate regions of Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an agreement to integrate four regions of Ukraine into Russia. On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the West that the people of the four regions controlled by Moscow had become “our citizens forever”.
A ceremony was held in the Kremlin to annex Lugansk, Donsk, Kherson and Zaporizhia to Russia. Russian-backed leaders of Ukrainian regions were also present at the ceremony.
The Russian president said that Moscow will work in such a way that the people of Donbass and other independent regions feel the support of all Russia. The President of the Russian Federation promised that the Russian Federation would work to improve security in the liberated areas.
According to President Putin, Russia will defend its territory with all available forces and means, there will be no compromise on the freedom of the people, the safety of the citizens. Putin said that the widespread Russophobia in the world is racism.
President Putin said that the United States was the only country in the world that used nuclear weapons twice and set the worst example. “I want to tell the government in Kyiv and its patrons in the West that the people of Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhia have become our citizens forever,” the Russian president said.
