Police lodge FIR against PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar and 50 others

Supreme Court’s decision won't delay Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming: Tarar

Police lodge an FIR against PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar and 50 others.

On Wednesday, PML-N Deputy Secretary Information Attaullah Tarar, along with other local party leaders and 50 unknown men, was arrested for reportedly storming the house of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Wasiq in Khanewal.

Political parties in Khanewal, Punjab, called an end to their election campaigns Tuesday night, with polling set for December 16.

Following the death of Nishat Daha in October of this year, the PP-206 became vacant. Attaullah Tarar, Waheed Arain, Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, Sultan Gujjar, and 50 other people have been charged by Khanewal City Police.

It’s worth noting that Rana Mohammad Saleem was a candidate for the PTI in the 2018 general elections.

He is now running in the by-election for the PML-N.

The PTI is being represented by Noreen Nishat Daha, the widow of former PML-N candidate and MPA Nishat Daha.

According to reports in the media, the ECP has also decided to engage the help of the Rangers, who will patrol the constituency on election day.
