Today’s morning, the roof of the GMMMC Hospital collapsed in which a consultant doctor was injured and a patient died.
Medicine Unit II Department, GMMMC Hospital Sukkur, which is already deprived of many facilities and has a history of many incidents of threats and misbehavior with Doctors and staff, in which a very terrible incident happened.
Today, During the morning round, when a consultant doctor and other junior doctors were engaged in examining a patient, suddenly the roof fell down, resultantly round conducting Doctor got injured and a patient died within ten minutes.
After the recent heavy rains, no action has been taken by the administration for the maintenance of the Hospital, due to which a part of the roof has collapsed today and in the coming time a weak part of the roof may collapse, which is very dangerous and can claims many more lives of doctors and patients.
Young Doctor’s Association Sukkur is requesting the Sindh government to look into this serious matter of roof collapse, which has already claimed the life of one patient, another collapse will kill many more doctors and patients.
