D I Khan: Measures taken regarding dengue virus in flood-hit areas
Samples were collected from dengue-sensitive areas of Dera Ismail Khan City and Tehsil Paharpur by the teams formed by D I Khan Health Department while treatment for dengue larvae was also carried out here on Tuesday at breeding places of dengue.
In the light of the instructions issued by Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Amir Afaq, for the prevention of the dengue virus, various measures are being taken by the health department.
In a statement released by the Dera Ismail Khan Health Department, it has been said that in this regard, the relevant teams will take steps under the dengue larvicide campaign in Prova, Daraban, and Kulachi tehsils as well.
Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan instructed the Health Department that dengue is a dangerous and deadly virus and measures should be taken immediately for its eradication.
He said that measures are being taken by the relevant departments to remedy this, while people should also take precautions and stay at home during sunrise and sunset hours and also avoid wearing open-sleeved clothes.
