1 Policeman was killed while 5 others were injured when the Police Mobile Van collided with the side of the road due to a brake failure in the Parwarra area of Mughal Kot Police Station, the Police spokesman said on Sunday.
District Police Spokesman D I Khan Imtiaz Ali Janjua said, at about 1:20 PM noon, a police mobile van A-30124 collided with the side of the road in the Parwarra area within the vicinity of Mughal Kot Police station.
As a result of which, 6 others sustained injuries.
As soon as the incident was reported, Medical teams of Rescue 1122 and Contingents of Police along with Darazinda Police Station and Mughal Kot Police Station reached the spot and rushed the injured to the Type-D Hospital Darazinda.
The injured policemen were identified as Jamshed Qureshi, Imtiazullah, Tariq, Sibghat Ullah, Aamir Rahman, and Motor Transport Officer (MTO) Abdullah while the Motor Transport Officer (MTO) named Abdullah died of his fatal injuries on the way to the Hospital.
According to Police, the said mobile van went to Mughal Kot for a secret operation.
