Ramiz Raja terms Shaheen Afridi’s matter as a non-issue.

Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), reportedly called the controversy surrounding Shaheen Shah Afridi’s rehabilitation trips to London a “non-issue”

He questioned how PCB could abandon Shaheen Shah Afridi.

“No one can think like that, leaving Shaheen Shah Afridi alone. Afridi is our match winner and our hero,” Ramiz Raja said.

He asserted that the situation involving Shaheen Shah Afridi is headed for trouble.

He did concede that perhaps certain items were left behind in a rush, but it was incorrect to assume that the PCB did not care for national players.

Raja claimed that the PCB also looked after players at the national and international levels.

He questioned, “How could PCB leave Afridi in his medical treatment when we take care of even 10-year-old cricketers?”

Earlier, the PCB gave the national fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi an assurance that the former star cricketer Shahid Afridi will cover all of her rehabilitation and medical costs in London.

According to Shahid Afridi, Shaheen and the PCB did not work together financially.

In an interview on a private channel, Shahid Afridi disclosed that Shaheen had paid for his own flight from Dubai to London as well as his lodging while visiting the UK.
