Turkish kid writes heartwarming letter to flood-hit Pakistanis
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), floods in Pakistan have caused great devastation, affecting the lives of 33 million people in 81 districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, KP, Punjab, and Sindh; 6.4 million of these people need immediate assistance.
What happened:
Yunus Hacet, a young Turkish boy, sent a letter in this regard and attached 50 liras as a donation for Pakistan’s flood victims.
The letter says, “Dear Ambassador, I am upset by the floods in Pakistan and I feel their pain. My prayers are with them, my mother recites for them all day, and my family wishes them well. I had kept 50 lira for a school trip but sending it to you, for Pakistan”, he writes in the letter.
Pakistan is going through challenging times and this lovely message offers a glimmer of hope to flood affected people of the country.
Additionally, 22 flood-related deaths were reported in the previous 24 hours, according to the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA). Since June 14th, 1,508 people have perished. 1,500 people have died as a result of flooding in Sindh. The NDMA reported in its daily status report that a total of 12,758 persons had been affected by flooding over the previous 24 hours.

In Balochistan, rain and flooding have claimed the lives of 299 people, according to PDMA, after five more fatalities there were reported in the previous day.
According to information provided by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), over 500 000 animals have also perished in the province.
Furthermore, 65000 of the 185000 properties affected by the natural disaster are totally gone according to the statistics.
900,000 acres of agricultural fields have also been affected, on a similar scale.
More information has been provided, including the damage to 103 dams and more than 1,500 kilometres of highways.
The Turkish government has given Pakistan seven planes loaded with tents, food, medication, and other supplies so far.
According to the sources, Turkey’s Red Crescent is also assisting with the distribution of food and water in the southwest Balochistan province, and the country’s Relief and Disaster Agency intends to establish a tent city in the southeast Sindh region.
