GU employees pass resolution against Ali Amin
Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA), Employees of Gomal University including Professors, Deans and other staff and Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba condemn the threats to Vice-Chancellor Gomal University Prof Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed by PTI leader Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and demanded immediate action against Ali Amin, here on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed expressed his satisfaction on Allied Health Sciences Program of Gomal University during a meeting with Gomal University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed.
Chairman HEC said, the Higher Education Commission will also provide its full support to the Gomal University in their Allied Health Sciences Program.
It should be remembered that the students of Allied Health Sciences Program were also participated in the series of protests for the removal of the Vice Chancellor Gomal University Prof Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed.
Meanwhile, a General Body Meeting was held in Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan Auditorium of Gomal University in which all employees of Gomal University including Professors, deans and other staff participated.
A resolution was passed unanimously in the meeting against the PTI leader and ex-minister Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on hurtling threats to Vice-Chancellor Gomal University Prof Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed.
The teachers and other staff expressed solidarity with the Vice-Chancellor and announced that political interference and vandalism in the university will be fully resisted.
Strict action against Ali Amin Khan Gandapur was demanded from the Provincial Government was demanded in the resolution.
However, President of Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Professor Dr. Izhar strongly condemned the threats made by former ex- minister and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur to Vice Chancellor Gomal University and requested the Chancellor Gomal University/Governor of KP to stop such bullying-based interference in the University.
He also demanded that strict legal action should be taken against Ali Amin Gandapur, otherwise they will be forced to protest.
Prof Dr. Izhar said this while addressing the rally organized by the employees of Gomal University through a video link.
“We announced that our full support is with VC Gomal University, and we demand strict against Ali Amin on his illegal interference in University matters otherwise we will be forced to start a protest movement in universities across the province,” President FAPUASA said.
Similarly, Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) Nazim, D I Khan Bilal Ahmed said we condemn the threats hurtled down by ex-minister Ali Amin to VC Gomal University and we will not allow anyone to make the Gomal University a political arena, Gomal University should be opened immediately for educational activities.
He said instead of threatening VC Gomal University, ex-Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur should play the role of mediator in university issues and should helped the University administration in overcoming the financial crisis.
Bilal Ahmed said this during a press conference held at a local hotel in which IJT Nazim of Gomal University Main Campus Quaid Akbar, Nazim of City Campus Israr Ahmed, General Secretary IJT Gomal University Main Campus Irfan Ahmed, D I Khan City Nazim Mohammad Tayyab Awan and D I Khan City II Nazim of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Khalid Miankhel were also present.
Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) Nazim, D I Khan Bilal Ahmed that the problem of Allied Health Sciences Program should be solved immediately, the official mess should be restored in the hostels of Gomal University as before and everyone has to play their role to save Gomal University from destruction and promote educational activities.

“The former federal minister is doing politics in Gomal University, and we strongly condemn the threats given by him to Vice Chancellor Gomal University Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed and his illegal interference in Gomal University and his tries of lobbying of politicizing the educational environment.
Bilal Ahmed said Gomal University was opened for academic activities a week ago after the flood but unfortunately it has been closed again.
“The Vice Chancellor of Gomal University Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed should immediately issue a notification for the opening of University for educational activities and reduce the hostels and admission fees for the students of flood affected areas in Gomal University,” He demanded.
