Flood victims protested against “unfair” ration distribution
The distribution of ration to flood victims in Tehsil Prova turned into a demonstration as flood affected termed the distribution unfair.
Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur visited Tehsil Prova along with officials of a NGO to inaugurate the distribution of ration on token in Degree College Prova among the flood victims.
However, the flood victims took a stand that unfair distribution of ration is being done on the token system. The flood victims were enraged over the distribution of ration and token system and burnt tires in front of Degree College Prova and blocked the Main Indus Highway Road. The protesters also chanted slogans against Ali Amin Gandapur and surrounded him in protest.
The flood victims said we are being completely abused, finance department staff, patwaris and tehsildars of Prova colluded with politicians and unfairly distributed ration tokens overnight among their favorites. Some people who have also approached also took the ration even without tokens.

The Deputy Commissioner D I Khan should immediately conduct an inquiry against the Finance Department staff and give us our rights, the protestors demanded.
However, after half an hour, the protestors dispersed the protest due to the ensurement by Assistant Commissioner Prova Karamat Ullah.
