Seven flights cancelled, three delayed at Allama Iqbal Airport

Due to operational risks and a lack of aircraft, seven international and domestic flights have been cancelled at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The departure and landing of three international planes have also been delayed for many hours, according to information gathered by the Airport Inquiry on Saturday morning.

AirBlue’s two-way flight from Lahore to Karachi 412/413, PIA’s two-way flight from Lahore to Gilgit 609/610, AirBlue’s two-way flight from Lahore to Karachi 407/408, and PIA’s flight from Skardu to Lahore 454 were among the flights that were cancelled.

Turkish Airlines’ flight 715 from Lahore to Istanbul has been delayed and will now depart at 3:00 pm; PIA’s flight 4725 from Lahore to Riyadh has also been delayed and will now depart at 5:00 pm; and Turkish Airlines’ flight 714 from Istanbul to Lahore has been delayed and will now arrive at 2:00 pm at the Lahore Airport.

On Saturday morning, there was a thin fog over the Lahore Airport, reducing visibility to 1,500 metres near the runway.

The Lahore Airport officials have advised international and domestic airline pilots to use caution when landing or taking off from the runway.
