Performance improvements for Toyota Corolla 1.6

Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) decided to increase the 1.6 Corolla’s performance because to the high demand for it in Pakistan.

The manufacturer intends to release a new 1.6 model with a CVT transmission, according to a recent report. It hasn’t yet provided the precise date of its launch, though.

According to sources of “PakWheels”, Toyota IMC is currently accepting reservations for the 1.6 CVT Corolla and will begin shipping vehicles to consumers before the end of the year. Its cost, however, remains unknown.

Toyota IMC wants to keep the current-generation Corolla competitive for another two years, according to an industry source who spoke with ProPakistani. The addition of a CVT gearbox will help keep the 1.6 Corolla “up to date” until 2024, when the manufacturer will abandon or update its flagship sedan.

Open reservations?

Bookings for domestically assembled automobiles are currently being accepted, according to the company’s official website. Customers of the Toyota Prius, Rush Prado, Corolla Cross, and other CBU vehicles, however, will have to wait since the orders have not yet been fulfilled.

However, it is noteworthy that Toyota IMC just halted production from September 1–14 due to insufficient stock. The business attributed the situation on a new process that required State Bank of Pakistan approval for CKD imports (SBP).

To the relief of the automakers, the government recently relaxed import limits on a number of goods. Sales will most likely stay subpar for some time, nevertheless, as a result of drastic production cuts.
