Pakistan Navy commemorates Hangor Day

The Pakistan Navy published a special video on Thursday to honour the historic Hangor Day’s golden jubilee.

The film depicts the Pakistan Navy submarine Hangor’s outstanding performance against the enemy during the 1971 war.

Hangor Day, according to a Pakistan Navy spokeswoman, is a reminder of the Pakistan Navy’s submarine Hangor’s unmatched courage and steadfast loyalty.

The Pakistan Navy submarine Hangor sunk the Indian Navy frigate Khukri and injured Indian Navy Ship Kirpan during the 1971 conflict.

According to the spokeswoman, it was the first time a submarine sank a naval vessel after World War II. He claimed that the adversary will never forget Pakistan’s naval victory.

The submarine Hangor, according to Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, made history. “Neither we nor our adversary can forget what happened that day.”
