KARACHI: The Sindh government declared winter breaks for public and private schools and institutions across the state on Thursday.
According to a resolution made by the education department’s steering committee, schools and institutions will be closed for winter vacations from December 20 to January 1, 2022.
The decision was made following today’s meeting of the sub-committee, which also resolved to reopen educational institutions across Sindh on January 3, 2022.
The decision on winter vacations will be made in light of fears of a fresh wave of coronavirus in the country and the appearance of a new COVID-19 strain, Omicron, around the world.
