In one of the videos that went viral for the wrong reasons, Ranbir Kapoor fat-shames his pregnant wife Alia Bhatt despite the fact that they are the most adored couple in Bollywood.
The Bollywood couple is one of the most beloved in the business.
The pair are expecting their first child together after getting married in April of this year. Fans can’t wait to see their favorite couple in a film together.
Recently, they collaborated on an Instagram Live event to promote their new film Brahmastra.
Alia was the target of Ranbir’s fat-shaming during the conversation. He pointed at her expanding stomach and commented on her weight gain.
This did not sit well with the online community, and Ranbir received criticism for his remarks. On social media, they made fun of him for being “insensitive” and questioned his sense of humor.
During the live session, Alia was seen addressing why the movie Brahmastra isn’t receiving enough publicity. Ranbir Kapoor and director Ayan Mukerji of the movie joined her.
Alia is seen talking about the promotion of Brahmastra when Ranbir interrupts her in a video of their conversation that has gone viral on social media.
Alia continued, “We’ll execute it” (promote the film extensively). We now prioritize these things, so if you’re asking why we aren’t phailod (spreading) everywhere, it’s because… Ranbir jumped in mid-sentence, looking at Alia’s tummy and saying, “Well, I can tell somebody has phailod.” He then explained that he was joking after Alia expressed surprise.
