Medical report confirms torture on Faisalabad’s medical student

A medical report on Khadija, a female medical student who was assaulted for refusing a marriage proposal, confirmed torture marks on her body.

According to a medical report, torture marks were discovered on various parts of the body, as well as injuries to the face, eyes, elbows, and hands.

Her brows and head were also shaved forcefully, according to the report.

According to the Punjab police, at least six people, including a woman, were arrested for assaulting and insulting the medical student.

A statement from the Punjab police’s official Twitter account shared photos of the suspects behind the bar and stated that CPO Faisalabad has deployed a special team to investigate the entire incident.

“All suspects in the case will face justice,” they stated.

The police have charged six nominated suspects and ten unknown people with kidnapping a girl and her brother from their home in Faisalabad and subjecting Khadija to severe torture and humiliation.

The suspects were also blamed for posting videos of the torture on social media, which sparked public outrage and resulted in the arrest of at least six people, with other suspects still at large.
