Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and President of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has congratulated Pakistani expatriates in the UAE as they prepare to celebrate.
In a tweet, he said: “On the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence, we celebrate our two countries’ close ties and cooperative efforts on all fronts. We also wish the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan our warmest congratulations and best wishes for advancement, peace, and prosperity.”
According to a khaleejtimes report, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently expressed gratitude to the UAE for its announcement to invest $1 billion in Pakistani businesses.
