Ayesha Akram, the TikToker’s harassment incident, which had occurred at Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore on August 14, 2021, and had been in the news for several months, now seems to have been forgotten.
Across the nation, protests were held in opposition to the incident, and more than 100 people were also detained. But it appears to be history at this point.
Initially a complainant in the case, Rambo, a friend of the TikToker, later turned out to be a suspect.
Eleven people, including men and teenage boys, were nominated in one of the case’s challans, compared to six in the other.
The challan was on hold for six months as a result of the defendant’s objections.
The suspects must now appear before the court on September 6, 2022.
On the other hand, attorneys have expressed concern about the case’s delay in delivering justice.
According to their claims, these delays give criminals more confidence and they lose all sense of responsibility.
