The Lahore High Court stopped the Punjab police from harassing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders illegally on Friday.
The court heard complaints about the harassment of PML-N leaders such as Ataullah Tarar, Rana Mashhood, and Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.
The court also ordered the Punjab IGP to produce all cases filed against PML-N leaders Tarar, Mashhood, and Ahmad Khan.
The LHC requested a clause-by-clause response from the home secretary, the Punjab IG police, and the CCPO.
The petitions filed by Ahmad Khan and others were heard by Justice Safdar Saleem.
Respondents in the case include the Punjab Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, IGP, and CCPO.
Petitioners claimed that police were harassing them with raids. They added that if the police have filed any charges against them, they should provide their records.
