The leader of the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Maulana Fazlur Rahman, stated on Monday that the coalition government will finish its term and general elections will be held as planned.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman spoke to the media on Monday in Charsadda and said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is a major evil in this country that must be eradicated.
Imran, according to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, is attempting to extort institutions. He stated that Imran hailed the ECP for his victory in the Punjab by-election, but that the Punjab and KP Assembly had now voted motions against the same body in order to influence the foreign funding case.
The PDM chief stated that they do not oppose the Supreme Court itself, but rather its rulings, citing errors in some verdicts.
He stated that the Chief Justice refused to assemble a full court on his government’s petition, citing the non-availability of Supreme Court judges, but two days later summoned a meeting of the Judicial Commission to pick judges.
The previous government, led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, wrecked the country’s economy in its final four years in power, and it will take time to recover.
He claimed that the Imran Khan cult has only one goal left: to destabilize Pakistan.
