Aamir Khan responds to Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha Twitter trend, says ‘some feel I don’t like India’

Aamir Khan is back on the big screen after four years with his latest flick, Laal Singh Chaddha. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, is slated to be released on August 11, 2022. Aamir Khan spoke with the media on everything pertaining to Laal Singh Chaddha just days before the release of his film. During a recent media interview, Aamir Khan was asked about his thoughts on the pre-release animosity for films. The actor was also asked to comment on the Twitter boycott of Laal Singh Chaddha.

‘SOME FEEL I DON’T LIKE INDIA’

When asked about the social media trend around his upcoming film, Aamir Khan said it “hurts” him when people talk about boycotting Bollywood and Laal Singh Chaddha.

“Yes, I feel sad. Also, I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this, in their hearts, believe that I am someone who doesn’t like India. In their hearts, they believe, but it is untrue. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. That’s not the case. Please don’t boycott my film. Please watch my film,” said Aamir.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi version of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump, which stars Tom Hanks. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh also star in the Advait Chandan-directed film. South actor Naga Chaitanya makes his Bollywood debut. Laal Singh Chaddha was originally set for a Baisakhi release, but the film’s release date has been pushed back to August 11, 2022.
