On Thursday, the upper Punjab city of Jhelum and its suburbs were hit by strong winds and rain for the second day in a row, flooding both low-lying areas and roads.
Multiple times, the Ghan Nullah overflowed its banks, flooding nearby communities and fields and forcing locals to spend the majority of their time indoors. Some homes and businesses even experienced water entry.
All roads, including Shandar Chowk and Civil Line Road, were knee-deep in water as of the most recent reports.
The city and its surrounding areas, including Dina, Sohawa, and Pind Dadan Khan, have experienced heavy rains over the last two days.
On the other hand, residents of the affected areas have pleaded for assistance from Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz.
