Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Awais Leghari resigned as a provincial minister on Monday, just days before crucial by-elections in Punjab’s 20 constitutions.
The resignation was announced on the provincial minister’s official Twitter account.
He asked Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz to accept his resignation and stated that he will continue to work in Pakistan’s and the PML-best N’s interests.
Previously, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayayz Sadiq resigned from their positions, citing personal reasons, which helped PML-N candidates win by-elections in four Lahore constituencies.
