Selected bank branches to remain open on Friday

No new currency notes this Eidul Fitr: SBP

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Thursday that a few bank branches would be open on July 8 (Friday).

The State Bank affirmed that only the branches that are close to the ports, trade hubs, and cattle markets will stay open.

Additionally, customers won’t be able to access clearance services through RTGS and NEFT on Friday (tomorrow).

Real-Time Gross Settlement is also known as RTGS, whereas NEFT stands for National Electronic Funds Transfer.

Prior to the Eidul Azha holidays, the SBP previously announced that banks would be closed from July 8 to July 12, 2022 (from Friday to Tuesday).
