Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former premier and head of the ruling Nawaz League, has stated that no one can stop self-exiled ex-finance minister Ishaq Dar from returning home if he so desires.
The vice president of the Nawaz League stated in an informal conversation on Monday that he was unaware that Ishaq Dar was going home.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated that Ishaq Dar’s repatriation is not a party decision, but rather his personal.
He stated that Pakistan is Ishaq Dar’s country and that repatriation is his right, thus no one can stop him from returning home whenever he wishes.
Concerning the cases filed against Ishaq Dar in Pakistani courts, the ruling party’s leader stated that the former finance minister will handle judicial proceedings himself.
When asked about possible changes in the Ministry of Finance, Khaqan stated that it is the Prime Minister’s decision.
