Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Saturday called his younger brother Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain’s claims against him and his sons “repugnant.”
Taking to Twitter, the PML-Q president in a series of tweets pointed out that his younger brother talking to “some people” in Gujrat, had made allegations against his sons that they had taken dollars from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari.
“If he had made such allegations then they were repugnant. I have not raised my kids like this, my children are quiet because I told them. I have taught them to always speak the truth and keep their promises,” he added.
The PML-Q leader further stated that his sons supported Shehbaz Sharif during the prime ministerial election at his request, and that the party did not solicit any ministries from anyone.
In another tweet, Chaudhry Shujaat downplayed his younger brother’s threat to start a new party, claiming that there are already hundreds of parties in the country and that forming a new one would make “no difference.”
He claims that Ch Wajahat has also claimed that Tariq Bashir Cheema is to blame for the family feud, which he claims is completely false and immoral.
He further stated that Ch Wajahat’s sons became ministers after requesting favours while not having a constituency.
Ch Shujaat stated that he would soon visit Gujrat to inform the people of his constituency.
Former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain stated a day earlier that the sons of PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had solicited money from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
