ASF foils money laundering attempt at Peshawar Airport

The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a money-laundering attempt at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport on Friday by seizing foreign currency worth 10.6 million Pakistani rupees from a Dubai-bound passenger.

According to airport sources, the currency was hidden in the bag of the accused, Izharul Haq.

The total value of the currency was 179,100 Saudi riyals, 618,185 UAE dirhams, and 1,546 US dollars.

The ASF turned over the accused and the money he had recovered to customs authorities for further investigation.
