On Saturday, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first in the second cricket Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
After winning the toss, Pakistani captain Babar Azam chose to bat first, stating that the team that won the first Test in Chittagong would be retained. “No changes have been made to the Pakistani team for the second Test,” he added.
Babar Azam stated that the pitching looked good for batting, which is why they chose to bat first. “We’ll try to keep our winning streak going,” he added.
His Bangladeshi counterpart also stated that if they had won the toss, they would have batted first.
The Bangladeshi captain, on the other hand, stated that the hosts have made three changes to their lineup. Shakib, debutant Mahmudul Hasan Joy, and Khaled Ahmed have replaced Yasir Ali, Saif Hassan, and Abu Jayed.
“Everything gets easier for me as a captain when Shakib is around,” Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque said. “Right now, everything is fine with him. You already know he’s a two-for-one player. He (Shakib) is the type of player who can provide us with the combination we prefer. We can now revert to our traditional lineup of four bowlers and seven batsmen.”
