The Counter-Terrorism Department’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wing had warned that terrorists are trying to assassinate Pakistan’s former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan. According to the Counter-Terrorism Department, the terrorists have sought the help of an assassin in Afghanistan to kill Imran Khan.
The PTI leaders have also expressed alarm about the threat to the former prime minister’s life, claiming that a target killer has been recruited to assassinate him.
Earlier, on Saturday, PTI leader Fayyaz Chohan claimed in a tweet that “certain people” had hired a terrorist to assassinate his party’s leader.
“I have details that some people have ordered a terrorist named ‘Cochi’ in Afghanistan to assassinate PTI Chairman Imran Khan,” Fayyaz said.
