Death Threat to Imran Khan: Who is ‘Cochi’ terrorist?

The Counter-Terrorism Department’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wing had warned that terrorists are trying to assassinate Pakistan’s former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan. According to the Counter-Terrorism Department, the terrorists have sought the help of an assassin in Afghanistan to kill Imran Khan.

The PTI leaders have also expressed alarm about the threat to the former prime minister’s life, claiming that a target killer has been recruited to assassinate him.

Earlier, on Saturday, PTI leader Fayyaz Chohan claimed in a tweet that “certain people” had hired a terrorist to assassinate his party’s leader.

“I have details that some people have ordered a terrorist named ‘Cochi’ in Afghanistan to assassinate PTI Chairman Imran Khan,” Fayyaz said.

On the other hand, Former Pak PM and PTI chief Imran Khan claimed last month that a plot was being hatched in Pakistan and abroad to assassinate him and if it came to that, people would learn about the perpetrators through a video message he recorded recently and stored in a safe place.
“A conspiracy is afoot to take my life. I got full knowledge of this conspiracy a few days ago. The conspiracy is being hatched here and abroad against me in closed rooms. I have recorded a video about this conspiracy, naming all those involved in it. If something happens to me then the people will come to know who were behind this scheme,” Khan said during a rally in Sialkot, Pakistan’s Punjab province.
Who is Cochi terrorist?
After Fayyaz Ul Hassan’s claim that a terrorist named ‘Cochi’ is hired to kill Imran Khan, the Counter-Terrorism departments are investigating about the matter and the named terrorist.
It seems that a high-level plot has been prepared to damage the peace of a country that is already facing a huge economic crisis.
