Speaking Truth to Oppressed

Milk price boils up to Rs160 per litre in Hyderabad

On the one hand, dairy farm owners in Hyderabad have raised milk prices by Rs20 per litre, while bread prices have also risen.

On the other hand, the district administration is acting as a mute spectator, leaving the people at the mercy of profiteers.

Some even claim that the government is complicit in profiteering.

Milk, which was previously priced at Rs140 per litre, has now risen to Rs160 per litre.

It’s worth noting that while the official rate for milk is Rs120 per litre, dairy farm owners were already charging consumers Rs20 more.

Farm owners have stated that they purchase milk at Rs150 per litre and sell it at Rs160 per litre to make a Rs10 profit.

In the city, the price of a Naan has risen from Rs18 to Rs22 in just one week, while the price of bread has risen from Rs12 to Rs18.
