Fast charging station for electric vehicles launched in Karachi

How China became a big boss in electric vehicles?

German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck and Sindh government spokesperson inaugurated Pakistan’s first ultra-rapid Electric Vehicle (EV) station in Karachi on Tuesday.

“Electric vehicles are the future,” said German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck.

He expressed his delight at Germany’s ability to share ultra-fast charging technology with Pakistan. “A small but critical step toward making transportation more environmentally friendly!” In a tweet, Germany’s envoy writes, “#PakGermanDosti Zindabad.”

He stated that this action will assist Pakistan in combating climate change. “It’s a good idea to promote technology through public-private partnerships,” Bernhard added.

Murtaza Wahab, a spokesperson for the Sindh government, announced that two solar parks based on this technology would be launched in KMC.

“I am grateful for LIBRA and Siemens Pakistan’s intervention,” he said. Sindh is now registering electric vehicles, which are both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.”

According to LIBRA CEO Abdul Haseeb Khan, cars will now be recharged in 15 to 20 minutes using this technology.
